Women Writing for (a) Change, Jacksonville, conducts regular tuition-based programs as part of it’s core curriculum, including the semester-long Wednesday night series.  We offer a Sampler of that program at the beginning of each semester.  Our next Sampler is on January 18, at 6 p.m. and our weekly Spring Series begins a week later, on Jan. 25. You can register and get more information on our Meetup page.

Come spend a Wednesday evening in the company of interesting women in a relaxed and safe atmosphere. All are welcome. No writing experience necessary.

Outreach Programs

We also conduct regular outreach programs in the community, including writing circles with incarcerated women, recovering drug and alcohol addicts, and clients of programs at The Women’s Center of Jacksonville, The Dolores Barr Weaver Policy Center for Girls, and the UNF Women’s Center—among other community resources for women and underserved populations.  See our Meetup page for more information and to watch for new programs.

  1. From Bobbi Hanks:

    August 26, 2013

I couldn’t wait until tomorrow to tell you what a wonderful evening you provided for my Bosom Buddies. It was one of my all time favorite programs, and I’ve had a zillion of them. You have a very special way of bringing out creativity in people who have never shown any inkling of it before. I think you really touched everyone’s hearts, especially mine. You have a very special way about you and the topper was your ukelele playing. Wow!!

    With hugs and hope,
